PMY's collaboration with ES Global was a successful endeavor in deploying an extensive CCTV and Wi-Fi network solution for the BBC Earth Experience. The goal of the client was to enhance operational efficiency, provide seamless connectivity, and ensure safety and monitoring for both staff and visitors at the venue.
Addressing the challenges faced, the project required a comprehensive CCTV system to monitor various areas, such as staff spaces, production areas, retail sections, and ticketing zones. Additionally, during the construction phase, a temporary wireless internet service provider (WISP) was essential for smooth content delivery during the show.
The solution, implemented by PMY, involved deploying 30 strategically positioned CCTV cameras across the venue, including discreet black dome cameras for concealed monitoring, static cameras around the building's perimeter and doors, and PTZ cameras at the entrance for optimal coverage. To support content delivery during construction, a temporary 1gb WISP was set up, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for contractors, staff, and stakeholders involved in the build process. Throughout the 3-month construction phase, PMY maintained close collaboration with other contractors, providing ongoing support and expertise while adapting to changes made by the principal contractor to ensure the successful implementation of the CCTV and Wi-Fi network. As a result, the project achieved its objectives of efficient surveillance and seamless connectivity, meeting the requirements of the BBC Earth Experience.
