Winter Wonderland is the UK’s largest outdoor Christmas Market hosted in London’s Hyde Park, running for approximately a month and attracting an annual attendance of about 2.5 million visitors. The site is a favourite among tourists and locals alike, offering a blend of Christmas markets, rides, concessions, VIP experiences, and bars. The event comprises themed zones, such as the Bavarian village and shopping village.
These events drew record-breaking audiences and showcased the stadium’s capacity to handle large-scale entertainment spectacularly. PMY played a crucial role in ensuring these events were a resounding success.
Managed by IMG, this event harmonises efforts among the Royal Parks, police, and event management, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. From music and entertainment zones to bustling shopping and bars, the site is vigilantly monitored.
As a longstanding client of the legacy brand Spindlewood, a PMY company, for over a decade, our role has been integral. We've overseen a comprehensive temporary overlay network deployment, encompassing Wi-Fi, wired presentation ports, Audio 'voice of god,' and CCTV. Our team handled a significant deployment, managing 190Tb of bandwidth across 4km of fiber and 57km of ethernet cable, connecting 2.8k end devices through both hardwired and wireless connections.
In 2024, OPTIC made its debut, offering intelligent site exit counting and providing accurate real-time site occupancy figures. This, coupled with information from our ticketing partner SeeTickets, delivers a singular, up-to-date occupancy number, enhancing security, site management, and additional ticket sales opportunities. The live dashboard and secure portal with associated reporting remain available throughout the event.
