BBC Radio 2
Bringing one of the UK’s biggest music events to life requires world-class infrastructure
PMY Group played a crucial role in delivering seamless network connectivity across the entire BBC Radio 2 site.
With a fully cashless operation, bars and traders relied on uninterrupted internet for their EPOS systems. PMY deployed:
- 20 high-density Wi-Fi hotspots, featuring a BBC Radio-branded landing page & post-event analytics
- A powerful network spanning 12km of cable, supporting 2,800+ simultaneous users and over 31,700 unique Wi-Fi leases across 3 days
- 14 HD CCTV cameras with digital backup for security & 6 hearing loops for accessibility
- 1GB internet fiber, a broadcast fiber ring & failover connection ensuring 100% uptime
From event control to production, bars, traders, and the public Wi-Fi network, PMY’s infrastructure helped keep the festival connected, engaged, and secure.
