City of Dallas
Security Risk Assessment
True North conducted a comprehensive security risk assessment of over 180 facilities for the city of Dallas
The City of Dallas, Texas, retained True North (A PMY Company) to provide city-wide security consulting services. As part of those services, True North conducted an assessment for more than 180 city facilities, using a customized CARVER+S methodology.
In Phase I of the project, True North developed a secure, online dashboard for the City to evaluate and score its remaining 1100 facilities based on risk level. The dashboard allows the City to re-evaluate facilities as changes occur to the threat environment or the security measures implemented at the facility. The dashboard also enables the City to evaluate the impact of proposed security measures at each facility individually, prioritizing security program spending and implementation for departments and the City.
In Phase II, TNCG used the Phase I assessment findings to develop security standards for all City facilities. These standards are aligned with the Phase I assessment findings and the city’s overall security goals.
In Phase III, True North developed a security awareness training plan for all City employees.
The City of Dallas also contracted True North to conduct comprehensive assessments for three of the City’s major facilities. True North used these on-site, full, risk-based security assessments to validate the assessment results in Phase I of the project and the security standards in Phase II. In Phase III, True North compiled detailed reports for each of the three facilities.
