Supporting the allen community with security assessment

The City of Allen, Texas, home to more than 100,000 people, engaged True North Consulting Group (A PMY Company) to complete a security assessment of its camera network at five key community sites.

The locations included Allen Natatorium, Joe Farmer Recreation Center, Ford Pool, Senior Recreation Center, and Spirit Park.

We provided a complete assessment of the video technology deployed at each site, including surveillance cameras and recording equipment. Following the assessment, our team developed a written video master plan for the city.

The following physical security systems were evaluated: Video Management Systems, IP Camera Devices, Security-Optimised Storage Solutions, Potential integration with Access Control Systems, and more.

We documented existing security and technology systems, quantities, and types of devices. Following the assessment, True North documented areas in need of improvement and helped the City determine which technology elements and contract services needed to be procured separately. We also issued detailed requirements for the City-furnished equipment.
