Winter Wonderland is the UK’s largest outdoor Christmas market, held annually in Hyde Park, London, attracting 2.5 million visitors over the course of a month.

Managed by IMG, the event features a mix of Christmas markets, rides, bars, VIP experiences, and themed zones, requiring a high level of coordination with Royal Parks, police, and event management teams to ensure safety and a smooth visitor experience.

As a long-standing client of one of PMY’s legacy brands for more than a decade, Winter Wonderland relies on PMY’s event technology expertise to deploy a comprehensive temporary network overlay, supporting high-speed Wi-Fi, audio ‘voice of god’ (VoG) announcements, and CCTV surveillance. The network is built on a backbone of 4km of fibre and 57km of ethernet cabling, connecting 7,000 end devices through both wired and wireless connections.

In 2023, PMY introduced Optic, an advanced intelligent site exit counting system that delivered real-time occupancy tracking, integrating seamlessly with IMG’s ticketing partner, SeeTickets.
