Principality Stadium in Cardiff has solidified its reputation as a world-class venue through cutting-edge technological upgrades and seamless event support, delivered and managed by PMY.
Commissioned by the Welsh Rugby Union, PMY transformed the stadium’s infrastructure with major enhancements to its Wi-Fi, core LAN, structured cabling, and IPTV systems, alongside the installation of a Ross Video Production Studio—making it one of the few stadiums in Europe with this capability. This turn-key setup is fully managed by PMY, ensuring consistently high standards in delivery and operations.
Featuring dynamic 3D motion design and immersive 360-degree LED ribbons, PMY has elevated the fan experience – amplifying energy and atmosphere for every major moment. These integrated technologies bring the stadium to life across sports fixtures and entertainment events alike.
These innovations have improved operational efficiency, fan engagement, and commercial opportunities across events including the Six Nations, FIM Speedway GP, Autumn Nations Series, Monster Jam, and concerts from global acts like Coldplay, Harry Styles, Foo Fighters, and Bruce Springsteen.
During the Autumn Nations Series, PMY introduced FanSee, enabling fans to stream from their phones to stadium screens – offering a fresh take on the traditional fan cam. PMY also delivered livestreams for the Road to Principality community event, generating over 184,000 views on the WRU’s YouTube channel.
For Taylor Swift’s 2024 Eras Tour, PMY provided high-speed Wi-Fi for production, ticketing, and security, managed LED content feeds, and tailored backstage setups for seamless execution. This included IPTV broadcast across 500+ screens, live production, and custom graphics via Xpression.
In 2025, PMY’s experience division KOJO was engaged to design and create a new team entry experience for the Wales vs England men’s and women’s fixtures. Utilising the Musco system, PMY delivered full lighting control, pyrotechnics and motion graphics to enhance the atmosphere and fan experience.
By integrating scalable and adaptable solutions, PMY continues to position Principality Stadium as a benchmark for innovation—offering world-class experiences for fans, artists, and organisers alike.
