PMY has a longstanding relationship with RHS Flower Shows, spanning more than 10 years.
In 2024, we deployed our latest event network platform using layer 3 segmented technology for high-speed networking with a robust and reliable fibre ring.
High-speed leased line internet provision was transmitted over a kilometre through dark fibre to PMY’s secure network operations cabin, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for exhibitors and attendees.
In addition, telephony for core services and contractors allowed secure and private phone communication in and out of the site, a crucial feature due to limited cellular reception at some of the rural locations for 2024.
15 strategically placed CCTV cameras were installed to create optimal viewing angles, significantly enhancing monitoring capabilities.
PMY’s collaboration with terminal providers gave exhibitors the convenience of ordering dedicated PDQ terminals through a rate card, streamlining payment processes.
Most recently, PMY provided visitor Wi-Fi hotspots around the show to accommodate a new RHS audio experience, allowing visitors to hear more information about individual gardens and their plants and flowers.
PMY also deployed of a VPN service for RHS to stream stock control, enhancing the organisations’ efficiency.
During 2024, PMY supported the handling more than 900 exhibitor devices across three shows on a cashless Wi-Fi network, demonstrating PMY’s capacity to meet large-scale connectivity demands effortlessly.
