PMY was selected by Legends, the master merchandising concessionaire at SoFi Stadium, to provide people flow measurement retail analytics technology within ‘The Equipment Room’, SoFi Stadium’s flagship retail store.
Utilising architectural renderings, PMY developed a 3D simulation of the Equipment Room space to identify the models and positions of people measurement sensors that would deliver the most accurate, comprehensive measurement at the lowest total cost of ownership to the client. 3D stereoscopic sensors that passively and anonymously measure the geolocation of every person within the store ten times a second were selected and deployed.
PMY fused the sensors to create a full store field of view and onboarded the data into our market leading Optic platform. The platform provided the client with real time queue and occupancy data, heatmaps, journey playback functionality and more than 50 key performance indicator (KPI) metrics that describe the in-store patron experience. Priority KPIs include shop time, section conversion rate and shopper to associate ratio.
Optic data was leveraged by the client to optimise store layout, display, placement, occupancy, queue management and staffing models.
Additional analytics answered key questions on how crowd density impacts the customer experience, how shopping patterns differ pre-kick, during game, post-game and if the store should be adjusted for prime time and marquee matchups.
