PMY is The Digital CPMY is the end-to-end technology integrator for The Royal & Ancient Golf Club (R&A) across all Open Championships in the UK, delivering critical services to ensure seamless event operations since 2021 – with team members supporting The Open as far back as 2005.

PMY advises on the design and implementation of a permanent underground fibre backbone, enabling uninterrupted connectivity throughout the course.

The team manages and coordinates with IP network and cable infrastructure providers to meet both client and host venue requirements while ensuring minimal disruption to the course’s aesthetic and conditions.

As part of its role, PMY oversees the deployment of the IT network and Wi-Fi infrastructure—including over 700 access points—ensuring reliable connectivity across the venue. The team also manages the implementation of IT and AV equipment such as hospitality TVs, IPTV systems, and large-format LED walls, enhancing the spectator and hospitality experience.

PMY also leads the complete CCTV system deployment, supporting security and crowd safety measures. The team provides on-site technical support throughout Championship week, ensuring the smooth operation of all digital infrastructure. PMY also delivers production support for event presentations, press conferences, and broadcast production for the client’s in-house TV channel.
