PUTTING BRISTOL ON THE WORLD STAGE

PMY was initially engaged by YTL Developments to create the overall technology strategy for the Brabazon neighbourhood, a multi-use precinct with retail, residential, commercial and industrial areas, and a multi-purpose arena.

The strategy ensured that future technology services would help to deliver the overall vision for the neighbourhood. Outputs included initial opinions of probable cost, a delivery roadmap, a resourcing plan and details of technology solutions and vendors required to deliver the overall vision.

Following the delivery of the precinct-wide technology strategy, PMY was chosen to complete the RIBA Stages 2, 3 & 4 technology designs for the YTL Arena. The 17,000-capacity arena is the centrepiece of the Brabazon neighbourhood.

The project encompassed a wide range of technology equipment and services. PMY successfully designed solutions for seating bowl acoustics, seating bowl and auxiliary sound systems, digital signage systems, auxiliary space acoustics and noise control, audio-visual presentation systems, telecommunications network, broadcast cabling systems, in-house video production system cabling, LED video displays, fascia and exterior/marquee display options, as well as TV entertainment and information systems.
