POSITION OVERVIEW

The Human Resources Coordinator will collaborate with various departments to drive HR initiatives, ensure compliance with employment regulations and enhance the overall employee experience. This role involves managing confidential information with care and providing administrative support for the USA business (which includes our wholly owned, and recently acquired companies WJHW and True North Consulting Group).


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strong administrative support to the Senior Human Resources Manager, and other senior leaders as requested

  • Coordinate all aspects of employee onboarding, offboarding, and internal movements, ensuring timely completion

  • Assist with annual compliance, track participation, send reminders, and update leadership as needed

  • Assist with recruitment activities: post job openings, schedule interviews, arrange candidate travel, draft offer letters, and manage pre-employment paperwork and screenings

  • Maintain accurate and complete HRIS data, personnel files, org charts, employment contracts, I-9s, and other legal compliance documents

  • Oversee the new hire onboarding process, set up internal systems, and conduct new hire orientations

  • Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and work with the HR team to implement solutions

  • Become an expert on HRIS systems, educating and coaching employees on self-service features

  • Address basic employee questions and ensure prompt responses

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations

  • Research best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative HR technologies

  • Coordinate employee engagement, community, and learning events as needed

  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

  • 2-3 years of relevant HR experience required; multi-state experience preferred

  • Experience in the sports, events, or hospitality industry preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment

  • Workday HRIS experience highly preferred

  • High standard of professional conduct, work ethic, and confidentiality

  • Understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures

  • Positive attitude and culture champion

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external parties

  • Strong sense of urgency and adaptability
