KOJO’s mission is simple; produce bold creativity that influences, entertains, and inspires, captivating audiences globally.
KOJO delivers a world-class integrated offering across three core pillars. Over 30 years of experience has identified four elements that differentiate KOJO: our people, our integrated model, our creativity and our perspective.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As part of our KOJO Sport team, we are seeking an Account Director, based in Brisbane, to nurture existing client relationships, as well as drive growth both with existing clients and new business. The role requires a high energy, entrepreneurial mindset, strategic thinking, deep understanding of our services and the sporting and brand activation industry and a love of identifying and securing new business. This is a full time permanent role which will require regular intrastate travel.
Working with the Group Account Director & Head of Partnerships and Growth, you will play a key role in identifying profitable growth areas, prioritising target clients across our service areas to build relationships and win new work. You will develop strong relationships with key existing clients, to support the growth of these accounts and identify new opportunities to build profitable revenue.
KOJO’s services cover the entire fan journey: brand and strategy development, marketing, digital, social, sports presentation, game-day production, content production, broadcast, streaming, events, commercial and activation work. Our clients include significant tournaments, national sporting bodies, clubs and brands.
ABOUT YOU
You will have strong experience and background across Sport and or Live Experiences along with a significant network across Queensland. You will actively promote KOJO working in conjunction with the internal marketing team, always searching for new and innovative ways to build awareness and organically educate the industry on our business.
You will run a pro-active internal reporting process that allows the KOJO executive team to have up to date and relevant information about the health of our client relationships, financial status, growth opportunities, raise any risks or concerns, and profitability.
We value team members who can handle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure without compromising quality and whilst keeping a sense of humour.
At KOJO, how we do business is as important as the business we do. KOJO operates under a ‘one business’ approach focusing on collaboration between our services to offer a unified offering to clients. It will be an important part of the role to monitor how the business is working and actively remove barriers to this approach. The role will require you to support internal team projects and tenders, working closely with other business areas, such as creative, strategy, content, digital, event, technical and motion teams.
As an experienced Account Director, you will be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have an attitude to ‘go the extra mile’, especially under tight deadlines. It is important that you have the ability to apply problem-solving skills to challenges, be able to juggle multiple tasks at once and have close attention to detail. People should love to work with you because you are caring, genuine and positive even in the toughest of situations, always representing KOJO’s values and attributes.
This role involves work in non-traditional hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays, and requires regular interstate travel.
