POSITION OVERVIEW
The PMY Summer Mentor Programme invites enthusiastic and motivated individuals to participate as mentees in an immersive 8-week learning journey within the events industry, starting in early June. Mentees will be paired with experienced Project Managers (mentors) who will provide guidance, share insights, and offer hands-on experience in event project management. This programme offers a unique opportunity for emerging professionals to enhance their skills, broaden their industry understanding, and establish a solid foundation for career advancement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with experienced Project Managers (mentors) to aid in event project planning and execution.
Assist in technical deployment tasks such as fibre & cat 5 setup, including cable running and crimping.
Contribute to overall event logistics, encompassing venue preparation, equipment coordination, and attendee management.
Ensure compliance with site health & safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
Support in overseeing event schedules and timelines for seamless and efficient operations.
Learn and implement stakeholder & supplier management principles under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have:
Passion for the Events Industry & Technology.
Proactive attitude towards learning and skill development.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Openness to actively listen and absorb knowledge from seasoned professionals.
Desirable: Valid driving license.
Desirable: IPAF certification.
Public liability insurance.
