POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Technical Consultant is a critical member of our Strategy & Advisory team, responsible for guiding our clients through the design, implementation, and transformation of technology solutions. This role combines technical expertise with strategic consulting, leveraging a broad knowledge base across IT Infrastructure, Business Applications, Data & Cloud, AI/ML, and other core technologies to create impactful, business-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a technology generalist who excels in client engagement, requirements gathering, and solution options, and is comfortable advising senior stakeholders on technology strategy, trends, and best-fit solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Advisory & Client Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, facilitating technology workshops, presenting actionable insights, and building strong relationships.

  • Quickly capture client business requirements and context, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of needs within a short period.

  • Analyse clients’ business challenges, leveraging industry insights and global best practice to develop tailored solutions.

Solution Design & Business Case Development

  • Develop technology solutions and strategic roadmaps that prioritise client requirements and align with their overall business objectives.

  • Prepare viable solutions with a clear business case, assessing and presenting the potential ROI, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment of proposed technologies.

  • Propose delivery approaches for solutions, considering dependencies, priorities, and required resources.

Technical Evaluation & Solution Implementation

  • Lead solution evaluations, vendor assessments, and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives to ensure selected technologies meet client specifications and add measurable value.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to technical teams, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery on complex projects.

Architecture Development & Technical Leadership

  • Advise on technology architecture strategies that support both current and future client needs, integrating best practices in scalability, security, and performance.

  • Interact directly with clients to understand evolving needs, communicate project status, and present clear, actionable solutions.

  • Offer thought leadership on emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovative practices that could benefit clients and enhance solution offerings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in technology consulting, solution architecture, or a related field.

  • Proven experience facilitating client workshops, gathering business requirements, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives.

  • Strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, with clear and concise communication skills.

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and managing client engagements.

  • Broad knowledge of technology stacks, frameworks, and platforms with proficiency in several areas, including: Core Business Systems (e.g. CRM, Marketing Automation), Data & Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure), IT Infrastructure, Networking, and Cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • Experience with solution design and architecture, including creating logical designs, and technology roadmaps.
