POSITION OVERVIEW
The Strategic Partnerships Executive at VISION Sport & Entertainment is a key driver in expanding the company’s commercial reach and revenue. This role involves developing, creating, and selling sponsorship packages for our clients and assets, as well as selling media packages across VISION & PMY platforms. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving revenue targets, managing client portfolios, and developing strategic sales initiatives. This position requires a proactive and strategic approach, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Secure Revenue Target
Develop, create and sell sponsorship packages/rights for VISION Sport & Entertainment represented clients and assets.
Sell Media packages across VISION & PMY assets and maximise revenue opportunities for clients.
Collaborate with senior management to establish ambitious yet achievable sales targets aligned with company objectives.
Develop, retain and manage a portfolio of existing clients whilst maximising revenue opportunities across the client portfolio.
Sales Strategy Development
Work with the GM Commercial, to develop strategies and acquire new clients and revenue opportunities across VISION’s business.
Develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales targets, incorporating market segmentation, product positioning, and pricing strategies.
Continuously evaluate and refine sales strategies based on performance metrics and market feedback.
Client Portfolio Sales & Management
Drive the sales effort for VISION client portfolios, ensuring alignment with clients' objectives and always working within the commercial operations guidelines, as well as adhering to any industry regulations and/or commercial protections that may be in place.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on portfolio performance and investment strategies.
Work with the GM Commercial to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Sales Performance & Reporting Procedures
Prepare work-in-progress documentation, and work with the GM Commercial to ensure that all financial reporting is up to date, and accurate.
Monitor sales performance against targets on a regular basis, analysing variances and identifying areas for improvement.
Attend and contribute to weekly sales / business meetings and provide ongoing updates to the GM Commercial and CEOWork with and assist the relevant event stakeholders to report on ‘proof of play’ and any associated data/analytics, as required.
Work with the GM Commercial to ensure relevant pipeline and sales tracking documentation is up to date, and accurate.
Liaising / Communications
Communicate in a productive / co-operative manner with all staff including the GM Commercial, and CEO, and any and all clients – including brands and rights holders.
Where required, work closely with venues and relevant internal business units to ensure commercial partnership compliance.
Business & Industry Relations
Take active role in the ongoing sales direction, strategy and focus for all sales activity.
Represent VISION to the highest professional standards, with both internal and external stakeholders.
Develop a strong understanding of corporate sponsorship spend and evolving market trends.
Develop ongoing relationships with relevant marketing/management executives that influence marketing spend.
Key Performance Indicators:
Successfully achieve individual sponsorship sales targets, as set by the GM Commercial.
Retain and grow revenue opportunities with existing account clients.
Identify and develop new client revenue.
Contribute to new business ideas and opportunities.
Report in a timely and accurate fashion, as outlined.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Sales Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in sports, entertainment, or media industries.
Client Portfolio Management: Experience in managing and growing a portfolio of clients, with a focus on maximising revenue opportunities.
Business Development: Proven track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
Industry Insight: Deep understanding of the sports and entertainment industry, including current trends and market dynamics.
Sponsorship & Media Sales: Comprehensive knowledge of sponsorship and media sales strategies, as well as pricing models and contract negotiations.
Client Management: Familiarity with client relationship management practices, including portfolio management and customer service excellence.
SPECIFIC POSITION TERMS
This is a full-time role with two days per week in the Arena Racing Club office and 1-2 days per week in PMY office - both in central London.
